Base operations for the both Shell Lodge Event & Adventure Company and The Hideout at Flitner Ranch are located in Shell, Wyoming. Nestled at the foot of the Big Horn Mountains, Shell is in north-central Wyoming, not far from Cody; which has the closest airport commercial flights.

Our Mission & Headquarters

As a symbol of our mission to provide you with the best-ever corporate event while we preserve the ways of the West, we have chosen to headquarter our corporate event operations in the oldest building on Main Street in Shell, Wyoming: the Old Shell Lodge. To keep it from being destroyed, establishing a trust to restore and preserve this historic stone building that dates from 1894. Thus, the Shell Lodge Event & Adventure Company is committed to and supports the various Shell Valley preservation initiatives of Paula and David Flitner.

We have a passion for, and leverage the can-do attitude and common sense of the American West. We leverage The Hideout’s accommodations and activity programs, including their Trapper Creek Lodge & Guesthouse, Snowshoe Lodge, and the remote Upper Hideout. And if desired, the rustic cowboy and hunting cabins in the mountains. Our events and adventures unfold on the 100-year-old, fifth-generation, 250,000+ acre Flitner Ranch.

Add the barely-touched Big Horn Mountains, ranching culture, spectacular nature, the tight-knit local community, abundant wildlife, doing cattle drives on hard-working ranch horses along side true-life cowboys and you are privy to one of the most incredible corporate adventure experiences offered anywhere.
